Duke Invests 3 Million Dollars Near Chatham Megasite

Duke Energy recently purchased 67.9 acres of land near the Chatham County Megasite. According to the deed, Duke spent 3.075 million dollars on this land, which comes out to about 45,000 dollars an acre. This purchase is to allow them to support the growing community in that area and provide them with more reliability when it comes to their power.
